Domino’s Pizza will stop serving food containing hydrogenated fats by the end of July 2007. The company, which will be the first pizza delivery firm in the UK to make such a move, has already removed the fats from its hand made pizzas and side orders. The group also has a food guide that lists all the nutritional and allergen contents of its products. Chris Moore, deputy chief executive, said: “Removing hydrogenated fats actually improves the quality of our ingredients, whilst maintaining their great taste. “Our average customer may order from us just once every five weeks, but we still have a responsibility to provide and promote top quality ingredients and choice to consumers.”
