SABMiller chief executive Graham Mackay is the subject of a major "City Profile" interview in The Sunday Telegraph.
He is described as a "cerebral battlefield strategist" rather than a scalp-hunter.
Mackay has been embroiled in a vicious American price war with Anheuser-Busch.
And he is irritated by his rival's attempts to portray Budweiser as the true America beer for US drinkers.
He points out signs over urinals in Florida make a point about SABMiller's "foreign ownership".
That "stuff", he adds, plays to a certain conservative middle-American audience.
