Cabana, the fast-growing, Jamie Barber-led Brazilian barbecue concept, has launched a YouTube channel to increase its brand exposure and educate consumers about Brazilian food and culture, M&C Report understands.

The five-strong company, which with sister brand Hush is on track to turnover £20m in its current financial year, has launched the channel in the ‘How to category’, generating 144,000 views in the first month of being available.

The group, which is set to open at the O2 Arena and in Leeds before the year end, is also set top publish a follow-up book to its first cookbook, which was Waitrose’s Book of the Month and sold 42,000 copies in its first two months of being available.

The company is targeting opening 15 further stores over the next three years in addition to the seven sites it currently owns.

Earlier this year, raised £3m from shareholders including Saracens owner Nigel Wary, French Connection founder Stephen Marks and Zoopla and Lovefilm founder Alex Chesterman, to aid its expansion plans.
