Yo! Sushi chief executive Robin Rowland wants to expand in America. The chain has proved a big success in Britain with 20 units and another five expected to open next year.
It already has restaurants in France and Dubai, but Rowland hopes the company can really make its mark in the US.
He and international development manager Alison Vickers have already looked at sites there and talked to potential partners.
The possible rewards are immense but so are the risks, and Vickers admitted that Americans "don't give you a second chance".
She should know after opening the ill-fated Belgo restaurant in New York, an offshoot of the Belgian-themed London restaurant.
