Dennis Collet, the co-founder of Orderella, has told MCA that the brand will continue following the pre-pack administration of the parent company, Orderella Ltd.
Collet told MCA he has teamed up with Burning Night Group chief executive Allan Harper to acquire the drinks ordering app through new company Nextround Ltd.
He said that the new business would continue to operate the app and that going forward the business would be more focussed on a b2b model.
Administrators were appointed at the start of this month and the sale to Nextround went through last week.
Collet told MCA: “Orderella Ltd has ceased to exist. We accepted a pre-pack administration offer from Allan and myself. But Orderella continues and now we are going to be on a better stronger platform with a hospitality partner on board.”
On the new business model, Collet said: “While Orderalla, the aggregator, continues, we will be focussing more on the b2b side of things because that is one of the key takeaways of the previous business.”
