The Advertising Standards Agency is investigating adverts for Lambrini that have been put up around Liverpool ahead of the Grand National. The ASA is responding to complaints that they are "smutty, offensive, sexist and crude". Tag-lines include: "I love a man with a powerful beast between his legs" and "Leather boots and whips, don't you just love a day at the races". Halewood International, which owns the brand, said: "The horse related jokes are a little saucy, but no more so than many other advertisements. They merely reflect the kind of conversations that girls have on a night out with their friends."
