A Fuller’s pub has launched a beer created in partnership with local residents.

Jekyll & Hyde is the result of a collaboration between brewing manager Georgina Young and local residents, David and Penny Barltrop. The Chiswick residents have grown their own hops in their garden to create this new brew. These hops were picked in September and have since been drying in Fuller’s hop store.

Local pubs The Mawson Arms, on the Fuller’s Brewery site, and The Cross Keys in nearby Hammersmith, will each receive one firkin (72 pints) of Jekyll & Hyde to serve alongside their other Fuller’s ales. Priced at £3.50 all proceeds will go to Shooting Star Chase.

The beer is described as having a distinctive malty base and a rich balance of well-developed hop flavours with a tawny colour.
