The foundations for the new Brakspear brewery have been laid, at Refresh's Wychwood Brewery in Oxfordshire. Brakspear's square fermenters, which have been in storage since the closure of the Henley brewery 18 months ago, are due be installed by the end of January. Full-scale production of Brakspear Bitter and Special is scheduled to begin in June. Brewing trials and product matching, which will be overseen by Jeremy Moss, Wychwood's head brewer, and Peter Scholey, Brakspear's former head brewer, will take place from April.
