Upmarket Italian food group Eataly is opening in Selfridges food hall in September 2016 and has intensions to be listed on the stock market in 2017.

The group’s expansion plans were announced by CEO Luca Baffigo Filangieri at the Luxury & Finance investor conference, Reuters reports.

Baffigo Filangieri  said: “I’m very excited about this: we’re opening in London in September 2016 at Selfridges on Oxford Street.”

The group, which expects to increase its sales at a double-digit rate this year to around £275.37m, wants to be in all major cities around the world.

Its flagship store opened in Milan in March and has plans to open in Sao Paolo, Moscow, New York and Seoul next year.
