Scottish & Newcastle is examining bids for the 800 pubs it has put up for sale.

Nomura, Pubmaster, a consortium of Noble House Leisure and Enterprise Inns, and Legal & General are thought to have submitted final offers.

A decision could be made as early as tomorrow (Tuesday).
