Manchester restaurant operator Rockstar Leisure is opening a new pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of the city called Sakana following more than £1m investment.

The restaurant will seat 450 across two floors with two seperate restaurants and bar areas, the Manchester Evening News reports.

The group, headed up by Stewart Yip and his sons, also operates Red Chilli and Ocean Treasure restaurants as well as K2 Karaoke and Chi Yip Supermarkets.

The new site will include a sushi bar with an open plan kitchen and a fine dining pan-Asian restaurant on the upper floor.
