Gordon Ramsay could be liable for prosecution for failing to publish accounts for his restaurant business for the last two financial years. A spokesperson for Companies House said that Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) hadn’t filed accounts for 2006 or 2007 and that they were overdue. “The first prosecution notice has been issued and if the company fails to file the accounts, prosecution action could be taken against them.” The company currently owes a fine of £1,250 and Companies House said that this could go up if it missed its next deadline. A spokesperson for GRH said that the group would be filing its accounts before the end of this week. GRH, which is run by Ramsay’s father-in-law Chris Hutcheson and operates 22 restaurants and three pubs, last filed accounts for the year ending August 2005. The 2005 accounts reported a loss of £2.4m, with a £3.1m dividend split between shareholders and £2.1m going to Ramsay.
