McDonald’s has approved two bidders who are in advanced talks with RHM to buy the food producer’s Golden West subsidiary.
Golden West supplies tomato ketchup, soft drink syrups and burger buns to McDonald’s in the UK and parts of the Continent. It also manages the fast-food restaurant chain’s UK supply chain.
RHM hopes a deal can be concluded in the next couple of months. Analysts estimate the business will fetch £70m-£75m.
