La Tasca chief executive Simon Wilkinson has told M&C Report the company enjoyed the busiest sales day in its 21-year history this weekend.
Figures for Saturday eclipsed the previous high recorded on the same Saturday in 2008.
Wilkinson told M&C Report: “It’s a fantastic effort by the whole team as when you think back in 2008 how many less competitors there were across the UK and that the brand’s food then was Bain Marie based rather than the 85% fresh it is now that made delivery so much easier, so we are really proud of every single employee.”
The group last week announced its 19thconsecutive month of like-for-like sales growth, up 5% in the current financial year, with 96% EBITDA growth.
