The Ivy Collection, the Richard Caring-backed group, has submitted plans to open a site in Winchester, Hampshire.

The company has applied to the city council to open a restaurant in an empty unit in the town’s High Street, as it looks to further strengthen its national presence.

The Ivy Collection currently operates 17 sites, with further openings planned this year in Cheltenham, Harrogate, Tunbridge Wells and York.

It also has a strong pipeline in place for next year, with openings lined up in Exeter, Cambridge, Canary Wharf, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Dublin.
