Intu has confirmed the majority of the line-up for its new £9m foodcourt development at Lakeside, with Tortilla, Five Guys and Patisserie Valerie all asset for new openings at the scheme.

As previously flagged up by M&C Report, they will join Harpers British Classics, Wasabi, Gino D’Acampo’s My Pasta Bar, Thai Express and Nando’s at the foodcourt. A further two further units are currently in solicitor’s hands.

The operators have all signed leases ranging from 10 to 15 years and will open this summer.

Tortilla is opening its sixth store outside London at Lakeside. The site will be its 18th in the UK.

As well as the eight new names, the remodelled food hall will incorporate existing tenants such as Ed’s Easy Diner, Taco Bell and Pizza Express, to produce an enhanced dining experience in spaces that range from 400 to 3,000 sq ft.

The offer is further complemented by the high-end 360 Champagne Bar, which sits as a centrepiece mezzanine floor beneath the food court.

Julian Wilkinson, regional director for intu, said: “The contemporary, cutting edge design of the £9 million food court investment allows us to provide a perfect backdrop for exciting brands such as these and allows intu Lakeside to ensure it offers the same freshness within its catering offer as we do in our retail mix. Two further units are currently in solicitor’s hands.”

CWM and Lunson Mitchenall advised intu Lakeside.
