Honest Burgers, the London-based concept led by ex-Cote operations director Dorian Waite, has secured its sixth site in the capital, near Oxford Circus, M&C Report understands.

The group, which will open its fifth site by the end of the year at 251 Pentonville Road, King’s Cross, has secured the former Bagelmania unit in Market Place for a 50-cover site opening next March.

It recently opened a 46-cover site on the former Dri Dri Gelato unit in Portobello Road.

Waite told M&C Report earlier this year that the group had held talks with private equity groups but would to rely on self funding for growth in the foreseeable future, although had started tentative talks with bank regarding a debt facility.

It recently won the Best Value Restaurant Offer prize at the R200 Awards.
