Ed’s Easy Diner, the fast-growing American-style casual dining chain, has secured or is in advanced talks on 10 sites in the UK for its core eponymous brand, as it looks to open 15 new units by the end of next year.

The 20-strong group, which hopes to open three sites before the end of this year, has lined up possible openings in Lord Street, Liverpool; Victoria Place Shopping Centre; Salford Lowry Outlet Mall; Crawley Shopping Mall; Birmingham Grand Central; Watford; Solihull Touchwood and Derby.

It is also looking to open two units in York at the city’s Designer Outlet and the Monk Cross development.

However, it is thought to have pulled out of a possible opening at London’s O2.

Speaking at M&C Report’s Restaurant Conference earlier this month, chief executive Andrew Guy said the 20-strong group to reach 35 sites by the end of 2014.
