Byron, the Hutton Collins-led burger chain, has further strengthened its openings pipeline, with sites lined up in Richmond, Windsor and Birmingham.

The 62-strong group, which will soon open its second site in Edinburgh, in the city’s Lothian Road, has secured the former Strada site in Richmond for an opening later this year.

It has also set to open in Thames Street, Windsor and has applied to convert the old Regent and ABC cinema on the corner of Birmingham’s New Street and Ethel Street into a c200-cover site as it looks to grow to 70 restaurants by the end of this year.

In terms of a confirmed pipeline for 2016/17, the group has so far secured openings in Southampton, Farnham, Watford, Bath, Chelmsford, Harrogate, Ipswich, Reading and Worcester.

It has also secured an opening in Eastbourne’s Arndale Centre for 2018, alongside Nando’s, Wagamama and ASK Italian.

The Tom Byng-led group saw sales grow by 24.4% to £69m in the year to 28 June 2015.
