Laine Pub Company, the Brighton and London-based multiple operator, has promoted Dan Hills to the new role of chief commercial officer.

Hills has been with the company for the past 14 years, starting out as an operations manager and most recently holding the role of sales and marketing director.

His promotion comes as the group gears up for further growth, both through it’s joint venture with Ei Group – Mash Inns and through its own sites.

Last year the Gavin George-led company was acquired by Vine Acquisitions, the owners of Punch. It is thought that there is significant scope for Laine to take on sites from the wider Punch estate. The deal has also expanded the scope for Laine’s brewing arm with national coverage through the Punch estate and supply arrangements with companies such as Martson’s.
