Staff at Walkabout, the Intertain-owned bar brand, have raised £4,650 by cycling from Liverpool to Manchester.

A team from head office and eight Walkabout venues across the north of England raised money from the event for three charities; CHORF, an organisation which tackles teenage bone cancer, Autism charity MAIN and children’s cancer charity Niamh’s Next Step.

Walkabout operations manager John Creighton, who took part in the cycle, said: “Whilst we love giving our customers a great time at Walkabout, we also think it’s very important to give back to the public. It’s all part of our ‘Citizen Pledge’ which ensures all Walkabout venues are focussed on being a positive influence in the local community.”
