Tim Roberts, the former chief executive of Candu Entertainment, has parted company with Yellowhammer Bars, M&C Report understands. Roberts’ decision to leave the group comes shortly after the lion’s share of Candu was acquired by Yellowhammer following a pre-packaged administration. He is understood to have parted on amicable terms. James Spragg, Yellowhammer chief executive, will assume oversee day-to-day operations of the entire group, which comprises about 30 bars and clubs, including four sites that trade as under the Sports Café format. Following the deal with Yellowhammer, which is backed by distressed debt specialist Agilo, Roberts was appointed ‘executive director’, with the brief to continue at the helm of the Candu division. Candu was originally formed through a buyout of clubs and bars from Luminar.
