Punch Taverns is spending nearly £250,000 turning the Nosey Parker in Lincoln into a Flaming Grill, its grilled/barbecue food concept, writes Gurjit Degun. Re-opening on 17 June, it will add to Punch’s current estate of 16 Flaming Grills. The pub has previously traded as a 2 for £10 site. General manager Julie Andrews said: “We are so excited to be re-opening as a Flaming Grill as we are ready for a change and the new barbecue inspired menu will be fantastic. We will still be a community local but bring to our guests, both old and new, a sense of theatre on a plate with our sizzling skillets.” Menus at the Flaming Grills include Flaming Chicken Tikka served with sizzling onions and peppers, rice, tikka sauce and mini poppadoms, and Sweet Chilli Salmon served on sizzling onions and peppers with sweet chilli sauce, rice and prawn crackers. There are also pub classics such as hand battered fish and chips, steak and ale pie and grilled gammon and egg served with sizzling onions, chips and peas.
