Intertain, the high street bar operator, has sold its Walkabout site in London’s Shepherd’s Bush to Dorsett Hospitality International, the Hong Kong-based international hotel group, M&C Report understands.

It’s understood that a buying price is not being revealed. Davis Coffer Lyons had been appointed to find a buyer for the 12,700 sq ft, 1,150-capacity freehold premises on Shepherd’s Bush Green.

In May, Intertain chief executive John Leslie told M&C Report that he expected to have a “range offers” for the venue, which has a licence until midnight.

Leslie said at the time: “The proceeds we are hoping to get from this we will completely refurbish the estate and we hope kick-start our acquisition programme.”

Intertain has currently refurbished 12 sites under its refurbishment programme that began in 2011, generating overall returns on investment of 81%.
