Jim Fallon, the former financier at McQueen, has joined the board of Eclectic Clubs & Bars as a non-executive director. Fallon will spend a couple of days a month with the group, which is backed by Avanti Capital and operates 12 venues under the Embargo, Fez, Po Na Na and Sakura formats. He will join a board comprising Reuben Harley, CEO, John Smith, finance director and Roger Dyer, commercial and development director. Of Fallon’s appointment, Harley said: “I am delighted that Jim has agreed to join the board of Eclectic. I am sure that through his wealth of contacts, he will make an invaluable contribution to both the board and the company generally.” Fallon was a partner at McQueen, an advisory firm to companies in the leisure and retail sectors, before stepping down in 2008. He has also worked in the corporate finance team at HSBC. He has since established a consultancy called Graybridge to work with companies, investors and banks in the leisure sector. He told M&C: “I’m delighted to have an opportunity to contribute to the future growth of the business, particularly the rollout of the highly successful Sakura brand.”
