ETM Group, the London-based pub operator, has closed its Chelsea pub The Cadogan Arms which it has operated as a gastropub since 2009.

The pub on King’s Road will be closed for approximately two years as part of a redevelopment of the entire building at 298 King’s Road by landlord, the Cadogan Estate

All staff from the Cadogan Arms will be relocated to other ETM sites.

The group is planning to open its first pub outside of London in Suffolk run by head chef John Tremayne, who has worked at ETM Group for eight years as the head chef at both the White Swan and the Gun.

Meanwhile in London, Ed Martin – who runs the group with his brother Tom - said the most recent opening by ETM – the Ealing Park Tavern – is trading “phenomenally well” and has been well received by the community. “We introduced a great new design with a slightly different direction that is far exceeding our projected numbers.”

The group is now looking at a mix of central London and suburban sites to continue expanding

“We are always opening new sites so we’ve bene looking across London but having done Ealing and seeing how well it works makes us consider places we would not have previously thought of.”
