Antic is to open a further pub in Crystal Palace, on the site of the former Plumbase at 58-60 Westow Hill in Crystal Palace.

It joins Antic’s two existing sites on Westow Hill – Westow House and Walker Briggs. It is understood that the site will be more of a wine bar than a pub and will feature retractable front windows that open out onto the street which has views towards central London.

According to planning documents filed at Croydon Council, the proposed name for the site is Cambridge Coopers – a nod to both the original name of the shop that was located there in 1965 and the now closed pub The Cambridge, which was a short distance down the road at 90 Westow Hill.

The south London based pub company has several other site openings in the pipeline, including sites in Elephant & Castle and Brixton, as well as previously announced Norbonne & Stable, which is to open at The Mews, Norbury Crescent, Liman & Turner (167-169 High Street in Penge) and Vauxhalla at Arch 77, Albert Embankment.
