Franco Manca has appointed Sorrel Ward as its new marketing director.

Ward, who joined the Fulham Shore owned pizza restaurant operator was previously head of marketing at The City Pub Group.

She has also as head of marketing at Novus Leisure, and as a director at Inspired Inhouse.

Fulham Shore is on track to open 18 restaurants in its current financial year, with resilient trading reported in its latest update in August.

In the current year, ending March 2023, it has opened nine Franco Manca sites and one The Real Greek, taking its total estate to 90.

Speaking to MCA in July, Fulham Shore’s executive chairman David Page, said the business had emerged from the pandemic in a strong position due to its value-led model, an experienced management team, and a geographically spread estate.

While Page is wary of “uncharted territory” moving forwards, he’s optimistic of a rebound in city centre activity and has plans to open more sites in London. “We would like to open more in the city of London,” he added. “We’re poorly represented on the east side of London.”
