Tracey Matthews, the former managing director of Gaucho Group, has joined the currently three-strong Prime Steak & Grill brand as chief operating officer.
Matthews joined the group at the start of the month – five months after departing Gaucho, where she had spent 18 years.
Prime Steak & Grill opened its third site – on Beaconsfield – earlier this year. It also has sites in St Albans and Chandler’s Cross.
The brand is owned by Terry Greenhill and Ferdi Pacelli, who also operate seven sites under the ZAZA brand across the Home Counties.
Matthews was promoted from Group HR director to managing director in 2014.
On departing the business in March, she said: “It has been an honour to be part of a team of talented, driven and passionate individuals. To have had the chance to grow with the business over the last eighteen years has been an absolute privilege. I know I am leaving Gaucho in capable hands with an amazing team and wish them every success for the future.”
