Wurst & Glory, the German sausage chain and catering firm, is to make its debut in the UK, after securing a site in the City.

The group, which is led by founders Stephen Romanus and Andre Stubbs, have secured 10-year lease on a unit at Cornhill for its “German street food in an urban store” concept that will be self-service.

The chain, which is known for its event catering in Germany, plans to add further sites in the capital depending on the success of the initial site, which will open at the start of next year.

It is also hoping to launch in more international territories going forward.

David Toubian at Richard Susskind advised on the Cornhill deal.
