Sky and ESPN have won broadcast rights to show Scottish Premier League (SPL) games for the next five seasons. As part of the deal, the firms will show 30 live games each season across the UK and Ireland via the Sky Ultimate package. The agreement will initially run for three years, with SPL having a two-year extension option. The news follows an announcement by Sky that it was freezing prices for live Premiership football coverage at pubs for the coming season, which will apply to the basic Sky package and to Sky Ultimate.
