Wolverhampton and Dudley will spend £1.2m on trial renovations of three Pitcher and Piano bars.

The renovations will be carried out this summer on the brand's Birmingham, Fulham and Islington sites. If successful, other key locations in the 38-strong estate will be next.

Ralph Findlay, the company's chief executive, said: "It's going to be quite radically different. Overall we will be spending about £1.2m on the three refurbishments and it is a considerable updating of the brand.

"We've been gradually selling the sites that we've been less happy with. What customers will see will be very much Pitcher and Piano, but hopefully there will be a significantly added wow factor when we've done that work."
