Drinkers who are caught relieving themselves in public places after a few pints in Torquay are being handed a mop and bucket and told to clean it up. A special police squad – nicknamed the “mop cops” – patrols the streets of the Devon seaside resort as part of a campaign to curb alcohol-fuelled anti-social behaviour.
