C&C Group has announced that John Holberry, managing director of Magners GB, has stepped down from the company.
Holberry said that he had decided to leave due to a lack of career opportunities since the appointment of several former Scottish & Newcastle executives to the team.
In a statement, Holberry said: “'I have enjoyed working in C&C and building the Magners GB team over the last year. However the appointment of the new management team, headed by John Dunsmore, reduces the opportunities for me to develop my career.
“I will be working with John over the coming months to ensure a successful transition and wish him and all the C&C team every success in the future.”
Prior to joining C&C Group in March 2008, Holberry served as managing director of sales for Coors Brewers.
