Filmore & Union, the independent café and deli chain, is eyeing further growth in the North East after opening its fourth outlet.

The group, which is led by Adele Carnell and takes its name from two famous streets in San Francisco, opened its fourth site since its launch last year in York station and is currently in talks on a fifth unit.

The company launched its first healthy-eating restaurant and takeaway site in Low Petergate at the start of last year, before expanding to Harrogate and Wetherby.

It is currently looking at launching an evening offer at the Wetherby site, while also developing its takeaway range.
