Food tech startup and food hall operator Sessions has acquired ePOS and mobile ordering company ServedUp.

ServedUp – rebranded to Sessions Serve – bolsters Sessions’ existing proprietary tech platform and offers a complete solution to hospitality operators with full site management, consumer order and pay, order processing, customer retargeting and sales reporting.

It also enables multiple kitchen ordering and adds to Sessions’ existing consumer app, virtual training platform, supply chain discounts, customer analytics, and brand portfolio.

Sessions has a growing portfolio of local and international food brands, incubated in its food halls in Brighton and London before being licensed to operators across the UK.

Brands grow through Sessions’ network of kitchens as delivery-only additions, eat-in residences, and full franchises.

Sessions has 200 partner kitchens and ambitions to grow to 300 by early 2024, offering eat-in and delivery brands to pubs, restaurants, hotels, and sports venues.

“Sessions believes the hybrid model is the future of the hospitality industry in the UK, allowing brands to scale quickly without high operating costs to meet consumer demand for dynamic content.”

On the acquisition, Dan Warne, CEO and founder of Sessions, commented, “Our aim is to be how businesses ‘do food’ in the UK. With the launch of Sessions Serve, we are providing something entirely new to the hospitality industry: a fully integrated tech solution and the dynamic food content required to keep up with consumer demand. We are not only supplying in-demand food brands but also enabling operators to deliver them in the simplest way possible.”

Sessions already dominates the UK market with close to 200 partner kitchens and has ambitions to grow to 300 by early 2024, offering eat-in and delivery brands to pubs, restaurants, hotels, and sports venues.
