The UK economy grew slightly faster than initially estimated in the first three months of this year after a rebound in manufacturing and business services. The Office for National Statistics said the economy grew by 0.3% in the first quarter, up from an initial estimate of 0.2% However the rate of growth is slower than the 0.4% in the fourth quarter of 2009 and on the year, output was down 0.2 % - again an upward revision and its smallest decline since the third quarter of 2008.
