The Green Party has pledged to introduce an ‘unhealthy food tax’ as part of its General Election manifesto, which it expects would raise £6.7bn a year.

The Greens also pledged to increase alcohol duty to allow extra investment in the NHS, introduce a minimum unit price for alcohol of 50p and increase the minimum wage to £10 an hour.

The part has also said it is in favour of a VAT cut for hospitality to 5%.
