Michael Turner, the head of brewer Fuller, Smith & Turner, thinks there is an unfair campaign against the industry over so-called binge-drinking.
He claims that the vast majority of people are responsible drinkers and that the industry contributes £6bn in duty and £28bn in total tax as well as 600,000 jobs. He claims, “we get a bad press without the people thinking about the good the industry does”.
