Jason Clark, senior vice president, and chief operations officer at McDonald’s UK and Ireland is to speak about innovation at the fast-food operator at MCA’s 2021 Food to Go Conference next week (23 March).

A recent finalist at MCA’s Retailer’s Retailer Awards, for Best Company and Best Use of Technology, McDonald’s saw phenomenal growth in delivery during the latter part of 2020. Clark will share how the business’ focus shifted to digital channels during the pandemic, and the other ways in which McDonald’s has innovated its offer to counter the impact of restaurant closures, including the launch of its Click and Serve app.

Taking place next Tuesday, the conference will also feature interviews with Roger Whiteside, chief executive, Clare Clough, UK managing director at Pret, Shereen Ritchie, managing director, Leon UK, and Richard Morris, managing director, Tortilla.

The programme will be streamed online from 9.30am and promises to be a must-attend event for senior operators, suppliers and investors.

In addition to interview with some of the leading operators in the food to go sector, there will be insight sessions from Lumina Intelligence, marketing and data specialists CACI and Allegra Group. While the hot topics of finance and property will be discussed during two separate panel sessions.
