Turkish bakery and tea chain Simit Sarayi has secured a site in Kensington – its 13th store in the UK.
Located at 44 Kensington High Street, the site is situated next to Joe & The Juice.
Last month it opened its biggest London store to date, in Leicester Square.
The global bakery chain is also in talks to buy an 85-strong package of sites in London, leading to speculation that the target may be EAT, as flagged up by MCA in April.
Even if the deal does not go through, the target is to reach 40 sites in London by the end of the year, Simit Sarayı chairman Abdullah Kavukcu told delegates at Turkey’s Uludağ Economy Summit, in April.
