Coffee shop franchise Mangobean will be installing micro-roasters in each of its sites as it seeks to grow from six to 26 over the next year, M&C understands.

The chain opened its latest site in Birmingham during the summer and has another 20 in the pipeline for next year in sites including Bolton, Newcastle, Kingston, Norwich, Crawley and Warrington, founder Shane Saunders said.

Saunders said 24 franchisees had lined up to take on Mangobean stores and the company’s team had expanded by 50% this year.

Under stage three of a five-stage roll-out plan, all Mangobean stores would be roasting their own coffee on-site, while stage four would involve IT development - including a Mangobean app, and iPads on tables, Saunders said.
