Farmer J, the health-focused, fast casual concept, is set to double its presence in central London, with an opening near Monument tube station.

The concept, which is the brainchild of ex-commercial real estate analyst at Deutsche Bank Jonathan Recanati, is believed to have lined up a unit at 24-32 King William Street for an opening later this year.

Farmer J launched in the City in the sping of 2016, after securing the former Benito’s Hat at Leadenhall Street.

The concept is believed to count Asher Svirsky, co-founder and ex-chairman of Basilico, the artisan takeaway pizza operator, as a backer.

The offering comprises breakfast, lunch and dinner - serving “a quick and wholesome meal for the time pressed City folk under £10”.

Influenced by Mediterranean flavours, the menu also includes a combination of charred meat and fish, seasonal vegetables and freshly made salads.
