Crussh, the healthy food and juice chain, is to introduce a re-usable cup initiative, as part of a wider sustainability programme.

From 15 February, Crussh will give a 25p discount for those bringing in re-usable coffee cups.

The group has already committed to removing all plastic straws from the business, and replace them with a compostable solution and from Easter will begin a trial of compostable cutlery in selected stores.

It is also planning to work on its waste streams to minimise what is sent to landfill.

Helen Jones, Head of Marketing, Crussh Fit Food & Juice Bars, said: ‘As well as removing plastic straws from our business by Easter, we’re delighted to introduce a discount on all hot drinks to customers bringing in reusable coffee cups. We’ll also be selling Ecoffee cups in our stores and will give customers a free coffee when they buy one. The reusable cup discount is just one of the initiatives we’re working on this year to help reduce our waste; more information about our aims for the year can be found on our blog.’
