Coffee Republic, the expanding coffee shop group, will open in the city of Leicester next week to bring its estate to 23.

The 1,600sq ft site on the High Street will have space for 72 covers when it opens under a franchise agreement with TNNG Ltd.

Richard Shakespeare, head of franchising at Coffee Republic said: “The owners have an excellent track record in operating multi-site locations, with previous extensive experience within major food and beverage brands, and already they are planning, with our full support, additional openings of other franchised bars from the Midlands into London.”

Shakespeare told M&C Report in October sites have been secured at Chatham, Northampton railway station, Whitechapel, Lewisham & Southwark College and Green Street shopping centre in London’s Forest Gate.

“We are currently working with seven other franchisees and looking for sites for them - predominantly in London, the south and up to the Midlands,” he said.
