Caffè Nero has appointed Sam Dooks as finance director for the UK & Ireland, MCA understands.
He joins the group from Tesco, where he spent 16 years – moving from a graduate trainee to heading up M&A projects for the group.
He replaces Andrew Trigwell, who left the group last year to join Gail’s Bakery as chief financial officer.
Caffe Nero has almost 900 stores globally, with 650-700 in the UK.
Founder Gerry Ford told MCA’s Food to Go Conference last week that the group plans to open three Harris + Hoole (H+H) coffee shops in the next four months.
