Daniel Thwaites, the North West of England family brewer, has hired Tony Baumann from Refresh UK as national on-trade sales manager to expand sales of its beers in other people's pubs.
Baumann, 47, has the job of selling Thwaites brands, which include several imported German lager brands such as Warsteiner, into national pub companies and other regional brewers' estates.
Thwaites already has 1,400 free-trade accounts, but most are in and around Lancashire.
