Interbrew has created a new brand team to help develop and market new brands in the UK. Interbrew said: "A highly proactive programme of new brand activity has led to the brewer establishing a dedicated new brand development team". The team, who will be responsible for the launch of new drinks including Absolut Cut, will be led by Mandy Bobrowski, who was previously innovations manager. Chris Stagg will join Interbrew as marketing manager of the new division. Stagg was previously involved with the re-launch of Guinness Draught in a can and the launch of Smirnoff Black Ice at Diageo. Stagg said: "I'm delighted to be joining Interbrew. I was looking for a fresh career challenge but wanted to stay in the drinks industry, which I think is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding sectors to work in from a marketing point of view." The company is looking to appoint someone in the new brand division specifically to work with the on-trade to monitor the launch of new brands into the pub, club and leisure markets.
