Zelman Meats, the Goodman Restaurants-owned concept, is set to open a third site in London, near St Paul’s.

MCA understands that the group has secured the site formerly occupied by sister brand, Burger & Lobster at 30 Old Bailey Street for an opening later this year.

Burger & Lobster closed the site earlier this year as part of a consolidation its estate in the capital, which included the sale of its site in Farringdon and the closure of its restaurant in High Holborn.

Zelman Meats, which launched in Soho in 2015, opened its second site last year in the Harvey Nichols department store in Knightsbridge, replacing Polpo.

Zelman Meats, named after Goodman founder Micha Zelman, sells a range of beef-based dishes at varying price points, from salt beef sandwiches and brisket to chateaubriand sold by the 100g.

Its debut restaurant was launched in St Anne’s Court on the site of the group’s short-lived seafood concept Rex & Mariano.

Seb Howard at CBRE is believed to have acted on the Old Bailey deal.
