Imbiba Partnership, the investment company behind Darwin & Wallace and Camm & Hooper, has lined up a first site in the City of London for new concept Wright & Bell.

M&C understands that the group has agreed to open the first site under the bar and restaurant format in South Place, EC2, for an opening before the end of the year.

The company plans to open six sites under the new concept, which will have a strong emphasis on the bar element. Initially two sites are planned in The City for the newest venture.

Speaking at Imbiba’s annual investor forum earlier this summer, Simon Wheeler, founding partner of Imbiba, said Wright & Bell would focus on opening large sites in London’s City and West End, driving the category forward in design, service, food and drink. It will be a very exciting and significant new business for us.”

Earlier this week, Darwin & Wallace secured its third site in Richmond, after taking the Lot site on the high street.

It is also close to securing sites in Chiswick and Battersea and Richmond, while openings in Wimbledon, Old Street and Victoria are in the pipeline.

Camm & Hooper, the group’s events-focused vehicle, has lined up a third opening in London’s Bishopsgate.

The concept is believed to have lined up an opening at the Bathhouse site at 8 Bishopsgate, The Churchyard.

CBRE acted on the South Place deal.
